Dekoder Cobalt® 9990-DEC-MPEG MPEG4 AVC i MPEG2 z wejściami ASI i IP oraz wyjściami SDI zapewnia wysokowydajne rozwiązanie OpenGear® do dekodowania wideo MPEG-2 i MPEG-4 SD i HD w czasie rzeczywistym. Jego konstrukcja jest praktycznie przyszłościowa i dekoduje tradycyjne formaty wideo, takie jak UDP i RTP (MPEG Transport Stream), a także formaty internetowe i mobilne, takie jak RTMP (Adobe® Flash) i HLS (Apple® HTTP Live Streaming).

9990-DEC-MPEG obsługuje nowsze kamery z wyjściem RTMP i kamery bezpieczeństwa z wyjściem RTSP. Jego konstrukcja o dużej gęstości i niskim poborze mocy pozwala zaoszczędzić na kosztach operacyjnych dzięki zainstalowaniu do 10 kart w 20-gniazdowej obudowie openGear®.

Obsługiwane są strumienie wejściowe IP i DVB-ASI, z wyjściami ASI, DVB-ASI, SDI, HDMI i CVBS (dla strumieni SD) przy użyciu dekodowania MPEG4 AVC lub MPEG2. 9990-DEC-MPEG może dekodować z kilku kodeków audio i zapewnia Dolby® pass-thru. Przetwarzanie SMPTE-2038 umożliwia usuwanie ogólnych pakietów danych pomocniczych SMPTE-2038.

Pełne zdalne sterowanie DashBoard™ przez użytkownika umożliwia dostęp do pełnego statusu i kontroli lokalnie lub przez standardową sieć Ethernet. Dołączony jest również kompletny SNMP MIB.

Dolby® Decode License (+DEC-DDEC) – Allows Dolby audio to be decoded as SDI embedded PCM audio or analog audio output

SMPTE 2022 Forward Error Correction License (+FEC-DEC)

IP IN License (+IP-IN) – Enables IP Port and IP Protocols for IP-to-SDI conversion (no cost with card purchase)

Monitoring License (+TSMON) – Adds continuous monitoring of current transport stream being decoded. Provides a list of all PIDs available in the transport stream, their current individual bit rates, and keeps numerical track of any continuity counter errors. Can also be configured to watch up to 8 PIDs and issue an alarm if PID disappears for a configurable amount of time. (If SNMP is available, this alarm is also provided as a trap.)
